What is Fear?
What If I was to tell you to imagine a 12 foot tall monster in your bedroom closet,
and tell you it is waiting to bite your head off the next time you open your closet door?
Then I tell you to stop with the imagination exercise and instruct you to go to your local hardware store
and purchase huge sheets of wood to permanently cover and nail your closet shut,
so the imaginary monster could not get out of the closet and bite your head off.
What would you say to me?
Perhaps these are some of the things you would say:
"What in the hell, are you nuts!?"
"Why would I board up my closet because of an imaginary monster?"
"That makes no sense!"
Logically speaking you would be correct.
Why would anyone Imagine something spontaneously and treat that imagination as real?
You would have to be nuts right?
Don't people get locked up in mental institutions for that?
I mean its paranoid schizophrenia to conclude our negative imaginations are real and then
act on that dreamed up imagination in the real world.
Although unfortunately this is something we all do almost everyday!
We all are afraid of something.
We all fear different things.
Most people typically fear death and pain, weather it be physical, mental or emotional pain.
Some of us wont go on roller coasters rides because we have heard a story of one cart flying off the tracks and killing the occupants.
You imagine that happening to you.
Because you imagine that happening to you, you choose not to go on the roller coaster.
In effect you are taking your imagination and attempting to make it real, by actually taking precautions against your imagination.
You think your imagination is real, although it is clearly not.
We all do this on a daily basis, and we feel it is natural to fear things.
How can treating your negative imagination creation as real event in anyway be normal?
Some would say that would be hallucinating!
What do you think?
Is hallucination on a daily basis normal?
How about not knowing the difference between what is really taking place and what negative circumstance
you are creating on the fly in your head, would that be normal?
So lets get this straight. We imagine something negative.
We physically act on that negative imagination to
prevent the imagination from getting you or happening to you.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!
We have to laugh at ourselves for that one!
