The
difference between believing and knowing.
Is there a difference?
That is a very good question that will invoke a tidal wave of immeasurable different responses,
depending on who you are talking to.
From my perspective the difference is so significant that words cannot do justice in expressing the magnitude of the impact,
when one can grasp or understands the fundamental difference between believing and knowing.
In the following pages I will explain the difference between believing and knowing and exactly how these two concepts typically affect us on a daily basis.
The difference between the two concepts is often the difference between fantasy and reality,
between truth and illusion, between negative and positive, between ignorance and intuition.
For those of you who do not know what intuition means, tuition means knowledge, in means inner, put the two together and you get (inner knowledge).
Next time you hear someone talking about college or university tuition fees... it means knowledge fees.
Right now we are going to get a lesson on reality.
Do you know how old you physically are in earth years? 99% of you will say "Yes of course! I am 21, 34, 58, etc
Typically whatever it says on your drivers license or Birth Certificate"
In response to your answer I might prompt you "Are you sure? " Of course your response it going to be "YES!".
I ask, "How do you know?"
You reply " We'll my birth certificate for starters, my parents were there, the doctors and hospital staff, and I have birthdays same day every year!"
My response " Hmmm I see&ldots; Do you by any chance happen to recall, immediately looking at a calendar at the moment of birth,
or on the same day of birth and can recall the date or month and year displayed?
When you were born can you recall someone specifically telling you the date with you having full comprehension of the event?
A typical response is "No of course not! I was just born, I didn't know how to read, or even interpret a calendar even if I could read!
I couldn't possibly have understood language or the concept of time at the moment of birth!"
My reply " In effect you are saying you do not recall looking at a calendar and understanding it,
further more you do not recall anyone telling you at birth what the date was?"
You respond "correct"
I press on "How can you be sure how old you are then? It sounds like you are taking someone else's word for it,
that you were born on that day. You have no direct memory of the event."
You are appalled "Are you suggesting that my parents are lying to me and that my birth certificate is fake or forged?"
I reply " No I am not suggesting those things. That is not the point of my questioning you.
You may very well be born on that day, but my question is "Do you KNOW"
you were born on that day by direct recollection and memory of the event time, date, year, and place?
Or do you BELIEVE you were born on that date by accepting your parent's word for it in good faith,
along with the government issued birth certificate?
To all you readers out there, this is not a trick question.
This question must be taken seriously if we are to proceed, for this is the fundamental structure that runs your life!
Hopefully your reply will sound something like this: "I see your point now!"
I BELIEVE I was born on that date (but with good reason to believe so.)
If you now realize that you BELIEVE how old you are, and never really did KNOW,
we are one step closer to your true reality.
(Note: There might be someone out there who can recall the birth event and exact date, although I have not met such a person yet).
Further more, you must now realize that what you thought was (knowing)
"the act of thinking that you knew your real age", is now fiction - (believing, illusion, fantasy, false).
Illusion, because you were convinced, that your belief was the truth. ( *A belief is never the truth - Truth is Knowing/being. )
Your mind is so powerful it actually mis-lead you and created a whole new system of thought that blindly accepts things as truth,
without really questioning it on a deeper level. Your mind created a fantasy, a false reality to back up it's belief.
It's not your minds fault. Literally your mind must do that.
If you do not investigate, research, discriminate or filter information coming into your mind,
your mind will make up its own mind and build fantasies, illusions or false realities to try and make sense of what information it is being presented.
Note: Even things that you feel you know and are 100% truths, may in fact be illusion! But we will get into that a little later.
We must first briefly establish what we know about ourselves before we continue.
We are born, we have skin, 5 senses that are immediately detectable, eyes, ears, two arms, two legs,
some kids are born with hair, some are not. That is basically what we are born with,
I didn't mention every small detail, but you get the point.
When we grow up, we see from behind our eyes, and our thoughts seem to be in the center of our head.
It would be safe to say that our very inner being resides in the center of the head area.
Where the master controls of you are, where all the information you are exposed to is calculated.
